Seeds Of Friendship Tag Tutorial

Seeds of friendship






This tutorial was written by me. 
Any similarity is purely coincidental. 
It was done using Gimp
 but can be done with any program

Supplies: 

Tube of choice 
I used a PTU tube . The art of Maryline Cazenave you can find the tubes at Creative Design Outlet here
You MUST have a license to use this tube.

Font of choice 
I used
 Passing Notes from dafont  here



right click and save image as 


Note: autocrop layer as you go and if you prefer , you can add your ds to your layers as you go too

Lets begin: 

Open new canvas , white 800 x 800 px ( this is just so we have room to play . We will crop it at the end)
add new layer 
copy cluster frame , resize to 500 px width , paste 
autocrop layer 

Open your tube
copy and paste 
resize and position to your liking
you can use my tag as reference if you like. 

add new layer above bg layer 
use the ellipse select too and make a circle that is slightly larger than the frame at the lower right corner. 
if you have a close up tube you can use it if not just use the same tube
 copy and Paste INTO ( make sure you paste INTO and not paste)
resize and position as needed. 
anchor
select none
duplicate this layer
add ds to the original layer
on the copy
mode/ overlay 
lower opacity of this layer to about 38 , play with it till you like the look. 

add new layer above frame layer and below tube layer
copy the word art 
paste , rotate and resize 
Mine is 400 px wide 
duplicate
on original layer ,alpha to selection , select /grow x2 
fill with color # ceb284
select none
on copy layer alpha to selection , fill with color #250c04
select none
filters/ decor/ add bevel ( make sure to unclick the work on copy ) bevel 2 width
merge the two layers and add ds

add ds to your layers if you haven't already 

hide the bg layer 
merge visible layers 
autocrop layer 
I resized mine to 590 width

unhide the bg and center your tag on the bg
If you want to add a mask ,
Add new layer above bg layer

Fill with a color or choose a paper and copy and paste  , you can use a texture too
right click on the layer /add layer mask/ make sure the black (full transparency ) is checked , click add

copy your mask and paste 
position and select none

autocrop image 
I resize if needed to 600 px width
add new layer and add your copyrights and license if needed 
when you are happy with it I delete the bg layer 
autocrop image , make sure its no bigger than 600 px at the largest side 
filters/ enhance/sharpen (20) 
add your name 
save as
